Our Founder
Our team of experts has roots in training program design, operational planning and execution, and policy and project management. At the heart of team is Melvin Johnson Jr., former Law Enforcement Officer with an experience level of over 25 years.
Melvin Johnson is a recently retired Law Enforcement Officer, who served the community of Maui while in the employ of Maui Police Department. Melvin retired as Detective/Sergeant, where during his career spanning 25 years he was known for his leadership, passion, and commitment in continuous personal development and excellent service to the community.
In his career he accumulated extensive experience in patrol operations, narcotics investigations, crowd control and riot team tactics and operations, special response team (SWAT) tactics and operations, crime reduction and community-based solutions, receiving desk operations, verbal de-escalation techniques, felony criminal investigation of property and person crimes, Arson and Explosive investigations, interview/interrogation techniques, report writing, and courtroom testimony.
Throughout his whole career, Melvin was heavily involved in the many training programs of the Department’s Training Division, obtaining certifications as Firearm instructor (FLETC), Taser instructor (Taser Inc.), Verbal Judo instructor (Verbal Judo Institute, Inc.), and Physical Fitness instructor (Cooper Institute).
With this background, Melvin Johnson brings his experience in emergency response, public administration, safety, and security to lead the Aegaeon team. It all translates to a unique perspective and application of security management, training, safety, and culture.
Our Staff
Under the supervision of Aegaeon core staff are employed a staff of Security Officers, who are fully trained, industry respected, and field tested. Our Officers are trained to operate in and above the industry standard, where we value professionalism, reliability, and prevention where they implement field tested steps in averting incidents before they occur, versus the standard reactionary models employed by most companies.
Aside from the professional command presence that all our Officer’s bring, they are also fully trained/certified and experience with the following skills and tools:
- Current and tested proprietary blend of Aloha Spirit, Tactical Communication, and de-escalation techniques in dealing with the public and potential threats
- Field first aid, AED & CPR responder care
- Comprehensive and current observation/reporting techniques
- Clear and concise report writing
- Criminal and civil courtroom testimony
